Free Bank Statement Converter
Bank Statement Converter turns PDF bank statements into Excel, CSV, OFX, QBO or QIF files for QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero and other apps. It checks the running balance row by row and highlights mismatches, so you can fix column roles or edit cells before downloading. Scanned statements can be read with optional OCR.

Quick answers
Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read and converted entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server, so your financial data stays on your device.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank whose PDF statements list one transaction per line starting with a date, with amounts in columns: that covers most banks and credit cards. Column roles can be corrected by hand when the automatic detection is wrong.
Processed on your device: your files are never uploaded. How it works

How to use the Bank Statement Converter
- Drop one or more PDF bank statements (turn on OCR first for scanned ones). They are read in your browser.
- Check the result: the balance check highlights rows whose running balance doesn’t match. Fix column roles, edit cells or remove lines that aren’t transactions.
- Choose a format (Excel, CSV, OFX, QBO or QIF), fill in the account details if needed, and download.

Frequently asked questions
How does the balance check work?
For every row with a printed balance, the previous balance plus the transaction amount must give the new balance. Rows that don’t match are highlighted, and the totals are compared with the opening and closing balance of the statement.
Which file should I use for QuickBooks, Quicken or Xero?
QuickBooks: QBO (enter your bank’s Intuit ID if it refuses the default). Quicken: QIF or OFX. Xero, GnuCash and most other apps: OFX or CSV.
Can it read scanned statements?
Yes: turn on OCR, choose the languages and read the files again. OCR can misread digits, so rely on the balance check and review the highlighted rows.
