Free PDF to Word
PDF to Word converts PDF files into editable Word documents (.docx) with flowing paragraphs, headings, lists, tables with merged cells, pictures and links. Choose the pages, keep headers, footers or Word columns, and turn on OCR for scanned pages. Text is reflowed rather than placed line by line, so it can wrap a little differently than in the PDF.

Quick answers
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is read, analysed and converted entirely in your browser; the Word file is created on your device.
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Close, but not pixel-perfect: text is rebuilt as real, flowing paragraphs you can edit, so lines can wrap a little differently. Headings, lists, tables, pictures, fonts, colors and page size are kept.
Processed on your device: your files are never uploaded. How it works

How to use the PDF to Word
- Drop a PDF (enter its password if it has one). The pages are analysed in your browser and the preview shows the detected headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures.
- Choose the pages and the options: fonts, running headers and footers, Word columns, page breaks, table detection, and OCR for scanned pages.
- Click Convert to Word and open the .docx in Word, LibreOffice, Google Docs or Pages to edit it.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes, turn on “Read scanned pages with OCR” and pick the document's languages. Pages without a text layer are then recognized with Tesseract; check names and numbers afterwards.
What about tables?
Ruled tables (with lines) and borderless tables aligned in columns become real Word tables, including merged cells. Turn off table detection if a layout is mistaken for a table.
Can it convert password-protected PDFs?
Yes, if you know the password: you'll be asked for it, and it is only used in your browser.
