Free Word to PDF

Word to PDF converts .docx documents into PDF files with selectable text, headings, lists, tables, images and links. Set the page size (A4, Letter, Legal or A5), margins and an optional header or footer with page numbers, then save through the browser's print dialog. Old .doc files are not supported, and complex Word styling is simplified.

Quick answers

Is my document uploaded?

No. Mammoth reads the .docx and lays it out in your browser; the PDF is written by your browser's print engine. Your file never leaves your device.

Will it look exactly like Word?

The text, headings, lists, tables, images and links are preserved, but exact Word styling (fonts, spacing, columns, text boxes) is simplified. For pixel-perfect fidelity, export to PDF from Word itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does the text stay selectable?

Yes. The PDF is made from real HTML text, so you can select, copy and search it, and links work.

Can I convert an old .doc file?

No, only the modern .docx format. Open a .doc in Word or an office suite and save it as .docx first.
