Quick answers
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The slides are created in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
Can I edit the text in the slides?
Yes. In the default mode every block of text is a normal PowerPoint text box with the original font size, color and style, placed over a picture of the page's graphics.

Frequently asked questions
Why do some slides show a picture behind the text?
Drawings, charts, backgrounds and decorations of the PDF are kept as one picture behind the text, so the slide looks like the page. Choose “Text & images only” if you want only editable objects.
What happens with scanned PDFs?
A scan is a picture, so it goes on the slide as is. Turn on OCR to also get the recognized text: it's placed invisibly over the scan so you can select, search and copy it.
What slide size is used?
The size of the PDF pages, so nothing is stretched. A Letter page gives a portrait 8.5 × 11 inch slide; slide-shaped PDFs give widescreen slides.
